Frequently Asked Questions

Downloadable games

What is a “downloadable game”?
It is a game that is sent to you by email and which can be saved on your computer. It enables you to print out the number of copies according to the number of guests you are receiving. With a downloadable game, you have both flexibility and the chance to play games an unlimited number of times.
How long does it take to receive a downloadable game?
In just a few minutes after completing your transaction, an Internet link will be sent to the email address you provided in your order.
Where do I find the link to download the game in the email you send me?
The link is written in blue under the transaction total.
Why didn’t I receive an email after placing my order?
It could be that your email address was not spelled correctly or that the order is in your junk mail box. Send us an email at: info@nannyinthebox.com
Why doesn’t the game open when I click on the image of “free games”?
Instead of clicking on the image, add the game to your cart. After you check out an Internet link will be sent to you by email free of charge.
Why do you ask for my mailing address?
The system doesn’t make a distinction between orders that to be downloaded and those to be sent by regular mail. So when customers ask us to send a game box by mail, we need to have their address handy.

Why there is only one copy of the invitation in the box?
In order to minimize costs for our customers, we only include one copy of the invitation, since you can send the invitation to your guests by email, print it directly from our website, or photocopy it and send it by mail.
When do we read the host’s text?
Before starting the meal.
When does the game finish?
The game can be finished at any time. People tend to end the game when dessert is served—the host opens the envelope as the guests begin eating their dessert. But you are free to finish the game whenever your group wishes.
Can children play?
If there are adults with them, yes, they can play. But if there are only children at the table, they are likely to find the game is less interesting, since it is not like a game board. Our games are made to complement a meal: therefore: everyone eats, everyone speaks, everyone plays.
Can we play without eating a meal?
No, because the concept is based around eating a meal with guests, and the food and utensils are part of the game.
How is this game different from a murder mystery game?
In our game, there are no roles to play, no improvisations, and no rules requiring a fixed number of players (8). You can even play with an odd number of players (anywhere from 5 to 12), and the game can be finished at any time.
Where can I get more passport sheets?
Write to us at info@nannyinthebox.com and we’ll send you a free pad of passport sheets.
Why do we always seem to pick the same category of questions?
Each player must shuffle the deck before picking a card.
