Nanny's Story
Once upon a time a mother and a daughter decided to combine their talents and bring joy to people’s lives. The mother, Nicole, had spent many years organizing parties for her friends and family, but gave it up after her separation; she was 50-years-old andold and ready for a fresh start. Five years later (but feeling far from Liberty 55) she decided the time had come for some more personal development. So her eldest daughter Nathalie (who was passionate about business) suggested that they create a company that would give others the chance to have as much fun as they used to have years before. The mother had the creativity: the daughter had the business savvy.
For Nathalie, the timing was perfect to start a business: her maternity leave for her first child was just about finished and she was expecting a second child. She left her job to embark on the new business venture. Once they had found their concept, the two women began to create games called “Ready-to-Party”. They eventually chose the name “Nanny in the Box” for the company because Nathalie and Nicole can be shortened to “Na-Ni”, and a “nanny” is someone who takes care of other people. So “Nanny” comes to your home with everything you need to make your parties memorable!
The duo did not let the fact that Nathalie was pregnant slow them down; at the time of the company’s incorporation Nathalie was eight-months pregnant! So 2005 was a year of birth: Nanny in the Box was launched on January 31st and the baby was born on February 22nd. It goes to show that anything is possible when you have faith in your ideas! Now, the year 2008 hails another beginning as Nicole and Nathalie launch the English-language version of their downloadable games—from now on, more people than ever will be entertained by Nanny in the Box!
